Bernie's supporters, who will vote for Secretary Clinton out of fear of Trump, have six weeks

to start lying to pollsters. It may be hard to do, to tell a deliberate lie; but it's not the same as lying to a friend or a member of your family. In life, sometimes a lie is necessary. "Does this dress make me look fat?" is a question that begs for a dishonest answer. "Who will you vote for in the general election" is another.

If Bernie Sanders is to defy the odds and come away from the Democratic National Convention as the Party nominee, his supporters need to tell one specific lie to one class of individuals. How Sanders' supporters end up voting in November should have no correspondence to what they convey, for tactical reasons only, to pollsters. Lying to a pollster is not throwing a brick through a window. It may be immoral, but nobody's place in heaven is going to get yanked away from them for telling pollsters a lie. Someone may lose sleep over telling such a lie to a pollster, but the end, in this case, justifies the means.
One small lie for a movement of individuals could lead to one giant leap for mankind.' Ahaha!

Am I the only one who thinks Obama needs to grow a pair

and has become a disappointment in his last year as POTUS? He's championing the TPP, which is such a disaster that I don't even know where to start. He's done nothing to rein in the FDA and the people he placed in there, when he has nothing to lose now. Big Pharma is out of control, people on Medicare are killing themselves or being killed by their spouses because they can't afford medications which cost 5x as much here than they do in any other country.

Am increasingly disillusioned with Obama. To me, this relates to a lack of soul, character and empathy for humans worldwide that I campaigned for for him on in '08 and '12, and a sad possible path of him being yet another past POTUS abettor in a quest for future gain. Jimmy Carter is still out building houses for Habitat for Humanity…………having just survived cancer………...

Companies who milk Medicare - who owns them?

You know, I watch these commercials for the companies who provide supplies for diabetics and other chronic diseases and you just wonder who owns these companies? They all know how to milk the system to get every last fucking dollar out of medicare. I'd be willing to bet Romney and Graham and lots of other Republicans are behind these companies. Tried to research this during the election, but was unsuccessful. Somebody must know how to find out who these people are.

Recipe: Curried Pumpkin-Peanut Soup
Serves 6

- 2 tablespoons red-skinned peanuts
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 small onion, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 medium clove garlic, peeled and minced
- 2 cups fresh or canned pumpkin purée
- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
- 2 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons mild curry powder
- dash cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup plain nonfat yogurt, divided
- 4 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

1. Put the peanuts into a small baking pan and roast in a preheated 350-degree oven 10 minutes. Cool slightly; place in a kitchen towel and rub together to remove the skins. Chop coarsely and set aside.

2. In a large saucepan, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic; sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. With a whisk, stir in the pumpkin, peanut butter, chicken broth, curry, cayenne and salt. Bring just to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer over medium-low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool slightly. Add more curry and cayenne to taste preference.

3. Purée the soup in a food processor or in several batches in a blender. Pour back into the pan and set over medium-low heat. Stir in 1/2 cup yogurt and the lemon juice. Heat through for about 5 minutes but do not let the soup come to a boil.

WEST AFRICAN CHICKEN PEANUT SOUP

Serves 6-8 Fast & Easy


2 Cups diced, cooked chicken
l 1/3 Cups diced onion
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
1/4 Cup dark sesame oil

1 Tbsp. curry powder
1 Tsp. pepper
1 Tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

6 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup. tomato paste
2 cups chopped, stewed tomatoes
6 Tbsp. chunky peanut butter
Salt to taste (if needed)

Saute the chicken, onion and garlic in the sesame oil for 10 minutes.
Add seasonings and saute 1 minute.
Add rest of ingredients, stirring until blended and heating until very hot,
but----
DO NOT ALLOW SOUP TO COME TO A BOIL - this is important - soup becomes "sour" if it simmers too long.

Ready to serve immediately when hot. Freezes great. Great soup to serve with rustic bread for dipping.
