Who is the real carpetbagger?

The candidate who moved to New York to work for the residents, or the candidate who moved to the Democratic Party to make it work for him?

Report: 'Substantial reason to believe' Alan Grayson broke law

There is “a substantial reason to believe” that U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson broke federal law and House ethics rules in connection with his offshore hedge fund and other actions in office, according to an investigative report released Tuesday.

But the House Committee on Ethics, which received the report, said the probe into Grayson requires “further review,” so it did not announce any final decision about his fate.

Investigators were initially looking into whether Grayson, D-Orlando, used his position in Congress to solicit investors to the Grayson Fund, partially based in the Cayman Islands. But the report also found possible ethical and federal law violations in his work as a lawyer, investments and the use of his office and staff.

Grayson issued a detailed rebuttal to the House Office of Congressional Ethics report in which he denied any wrongdoing. He called it “utterly frivolous” and “replete with amorphous catch-phrases like ‘reason to believe.’ It does not identify any instance where the OCE actually found an ethics violation, or any violation of law.”

No matter how you measure it, Bernie Sanders isn’t winning the Democratic primary

In fact, by every possible democratic measure, Clinton is winning. She’s winning in states (and territories) won, which isn’t a meaningful margin of victory anyway. She's winning in the popular vote by 2.4 million votes — more than a third more than Sanders has in total. In part that’s because Sanders is winning lower-turnout caucuses, but it’s mostly because he’s winning smaller states. And she’s winning with both types of delegates.

So why is this bewildering? Because it seems like Sanders should be gaining big ground against Clinton — and so “superdelegates” get blamed. Consider two states, though: Oklahoma and North Carolina. Sanders won Oklahoma by 10 points; Clinton won North Carolina by about 13. But Clinton won 14 more delegates than Sanders in North Carolina. He won 4 more than her in Oklahoma. Because Oklahoma is a smaller state, with fewer Democrats. It’s as simple as that. Where Clinton has won big, there have often been a lot of pledged delegates at stake. Where Sanders has won big, there often haven’t.

On the other side, Trump leads with pledged delegates and has a significant edge in terms of raw votes — about 2 million per U.S. Election Atlas’s tally. But he spent the weekend trying to explain away his horrific performance in Colorado by blaming party rules. Trump has a better case for why the process in his party isn’t terribly democratic than does Sanders, but it’s not like he didn’t know the rules going in. Or, at least, that he should have.

Which brings us to another overarching idea that’s worth keeping in mind. It is essential for political campaigns to maintain both a sense of progress and a viable path to victory. To shape how supporters see what’s happening every Tuesday and Saturday.

Obama Defends Clinton When Asked About Her Emails

President Barack Obama defended Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's record as secretary of state in an interview aired Sunday when asked about her email use.

Obama said on "Fox News Sunday" that he hadn't been "sorting through each and every aspect of this."

"Here's what I know. Hillary Clinton was an outstanding secretary of state. She would never intentionally put America in any kind of jeopardy," he said. "I continue to believe that she has not jeopardized America's national security. Now what I've also said is that — and she's acknowledged — that there's a carelessness in terms of managing emails that she has owned. And she recognizes that. But I also think it is important to keep this in perspective."

Obama continued, complimenting her time as secretary of state. Obama told Fox News host Chris Wallace that he can "guarantee" that Clinton wouldn't be protected by the Justice Department.

‘Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger’ is coming to Freeform

Disney is spreading the wealth of its Marvel Comics library to its cable network Freeform.

“Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger,” which tells the story of an interracial romance between two teenagers who acquire super powers while falling in love, will make its debut in a live-action version later this year. The series is a co-production of Marvel Studios and ABC Signature Studios.

TV shows based on Marvel characters have shown up on ABC (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”) and Netflix (“Jessica Jones” and “Daredevil”). “Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger” will be the first comic book series for one of Disney’s cable networks. Marvel was acquired by Disney in 2009.

Freeform, formerly known as ABC Family, was recently renamed with a focus on its target audience of millennials, a change that makes it an appropriate home for “Cloak and Dagger.” No air date or cast has been announced for the series.

I have my own question about Sanders' trip to Rome

Is he traveling to Rome with his own money, with campaign funds, or on the taxpayers' dine?
