Is how important close contests are for the media narrative, but how unimportant they are relative to who is actually winning the race. A 1% "win" means you get called the winner, but it really means the State was a draw. As we see here, because of party rules, the number of delegates can get changed slightly.

In a race like this, +/- 1 delegate really means next to nothing. The race is so far past MO at this point, that it really doesn't matter. Again, the media narrative of who "won" the State impacts the race far more than the fight over a single delegate.

Fortunately, we had the Wyoming Caucuses, where the delegates were split equally. And they still wanted to claim victory there.

So we'll be spared this time. But many of them will still delude themselves into believing Bernie won Nevada. (He actually won't even be getting a majority of pledged delegates there, like they thought, but even if he had it still wouldn't constitute a victory in the contest).
