RancidCrabtree's JournalWhat the Politicos don't get
I don't post here often, and when I do it's usually some snarky jab at the religious right, conservatives or talking heads. This however is different. After watching political campaigns ad nauseum, I finally have had a belly full. What totally mystifies me is those that run for office, and really the people who get campaigned to (us people, the citizenry) don't seem to fathom is that all a political campaign really is, is a long drawn out coast -to-coast JOB INTERVIEW. Nothing more. Are they not asking us to hire them to do a job? In the current case, the job of President of the United States, Senators and Representatives. How can we, the populace tolerate that these clowns can get by with refusing to answer questions we ask at town hall meetings, how come we tolerate them cherry picking what questions they will answer? What other job applicant can get away with that kind of crap and even be allowed to finish the interview? Not a damn one, yet we tolerate these nitwits doing just that. Talk about a flawed system!!
It is fundamentally wrong that these boobs can have us thrown out of a rally because we backed them into a corner with tough questioning, what kind of job interview allows the applicant to throw out the interviewer? None that I've ever been in. So why do we allow these jokers to treat us like we answer to them? They answer to US and US alone. WE are their potential employer and we should tell THEM how the cow eats the cabbage. When they vomit up their political speak that says absolutely nothing, we must stand up and call bullshit, loudly and every time. Yet we tolerate this. Wake up people, it's a damn job interview, nothing more and WE are the interviewers, they are the applicants. PERIOD END OF DISCUSSION. Treat these idiots like what they are, job applicants, and when they talk shit, tell them to not let the door hit them where the good Lord split them.
