again, this time at the Senate or Governor. Far too early to tell. I keep seeing people positing that Beto can take Texas in a general. I just do not see that happening. He still lost by well over 200,000 votes to a very unpopular Cruz in a Democratic wave year. Trump beat Clinton by over 800,000 votes and the demographics have not changed THAT much. Trying to 'expand the map' by going after Arizona, Texas, Arkansas, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, and Georgia was one of the larger strategic blunders we made in the 2016 campaign, as it came at the expense of hammering home in the Midwest swing states (PA included), North Carolina, and Florida.

The Washington Post in 2014 was already warning of this.

The Atlantic saw this coming a week before the election.

Is Donald Trump Outflanking Hillary Clinton?
The Democratic nominee faces the risk that she has overestimated her hold on the states most central to her strategy.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Mayor of a town of 100,000 people? jalan48 Apr 2019 #22
I got that part. However the guy is obviously way under his pay grade, Canoe52 Apr 2019 #23
He hasn't even run for a statewide position in Indiana. Interesting that he's going for President. jalan48 Apr 2019 #25
You really need to do some research, jalan48 mobeau69 Apr 2019 #27

So because a Democrat, holding office already, doesn't win statewide in the Northern Mississippi... Moostache Apr 2019 #30
I don't dislike him. I'm simply pointing out he hasn't even been elected to Congress or the Senate jalan48 Apr 2019 #31

Sounds great. Still, he's never held any statewide or federal office in Indiana. Is it because he jalan48 Apr 2019 #36
