(14,174 posts)I won't pursue this anymore.
I am truly just curious, and baffled. I've never heard an actual reason for the Clinton support vs. Sanders from someone from this community. And I understand that everyone makes their own choices for their own reasons, but I find it a little over-the-top to also assume that I, or anyone, can't look down the list of policies they are both proposing, (or not proposing) and discern how it would affect different segments of society other than my own. Yes its through my own filter, that is why I am open to the fact that I must be missing something because of that filter, and I am curious as to what that is. And so I thought I would ask.
My intent is not to attempt to make others "obey and heel" as someone else has accused me of. Why such defensiveness? Why the assumption that I am scolding? I merely asked for some clarification. Is it because Hillary and Bill have gone out of their way to establish more connections with the AA community? Is it because Bernie has been too critical of the first AA President? It it that she's at least not another old white man, and would have another perspective? Is it because the Clintons harken from the South? She has a great smile? I must only guess at the reasons. And all those reasons may be valid, but if I look at the actual policy proposals, and which one, going forward, can help all of us create a fairer, more egalitarian community, its Bernie. That is IMO.
Good luck. Whether Hillary or Bernie, I and I'm sure those in here and all of DU, are optimistic of a Democratic President. I will support whomever is the nominee. Nice talking to you.
