And yet people are still able to be drawn in by new ones.
I'm not saying that these girls were justified. What I am saying is that I have known people who were raised in such extremist households here in the US that they could easily be drawn into a similar circumstances. Your kid is getting a good education that will serve him or her well to think things through, but not everyone gets that start in life.
I'm not saying its right. I'm saying it is unfortunately understandable. If you have been hammered from infancy to disbelieve whatever the media says, taught that its all a conspiracy to try and rob you of faith, then when the news comes and says X happened, which will challenge your faith, its not too surprising that some of them would say "no, that's a lie" or "I'm sure it was justified, the news is lying" We watched the whole republican establishment do the exact same thing leading up to the Presidents Reelection. Evidence be damned, it was all lies and Romney would rise supreme. Right up to, and in some cases past, the election results coming in.
