Sorry, the time to fight was November 2016. We can protest. We can gnash our teeth. We can hold our breath until we turn blue, but it is not going to change anything.

Trump will get his SC pick…and maybe 1 or 2 more.

Trump will get his sick “effing” cabinet that can begin demolishing all the progress we’ve made over the past 50-100 years.

Trump will get his “anti-Civil Rights” Attorney General.

He will get his “anti-Public Education” Education Secretary.

He will get his “anti-environment” EPA Director…if we still have one.

He will get his “anti-worker” Labor Secretary.

Hell, he may even get his stupid “effing” wall.

Oh, and I’m sorry to break it to you, but that Dakota Access Pipeline? Yes, he’ll get that too, or at least the construction will begin to move forward.

He and the Retrumplicans don’t give a crap how many protesters are in the streets. To them, the more protesters that are out, the better their policies are working.

That’s reality folks.

And, to those saying “Democrats better fight”? well, to paraphrase our new “Supreme Leader”; “Go ‘eff’ yourselves”

I’m not sure what you expect.

Dems have a 50 seat minority in the House.

Dems have a 2 seat minority in the Senate.

Dems have 15 of 50 state legislatures.

Telling Dems to “fight” is like telling Betty White to get in the ring with Mike Tyson and “fight”

Telling Dems to “fight” is like putting kryptonite in Superman’s shorts and then telling him to “save the world”. No, it’s even worse than that. It’s like sending a puppy to stop a locomotive, and then getting mad at the puppy when it can’t stop the train.

We need to accept that the shoe is on the other foot now. It is Democrats who need us to fight.

Our next battle is 2018.

Sure, we can have some skirmishes between now and then. Run a guerilla warfare operation in some places. Voice our dissent with our voices, our wallets and our feet. We may even scrape out a victory every now and then, but it won’t change anything until we turn our voices, our wallets and our feet into weapons at the ballot box.

We have one job. Just one "effing" job! Organize, motivate, communicate, speak-out, register and VOTE
