(4,062 posts)When I was going to college some of my upper level classes got real small. One had just myself and one other person. The teacher used to joke about curving it. By a strict classical curve, one of us would get an "A" and the other and "F." Of course, if one of us offed the other, we would get a guaranteed "C". The jokes in the statistics of small numbers write themselves....
The problem comes only when your scale has only two settings. My take? He's done alright with a list of very glaring moments where it feels like he threw the game. Probably a low B on my scale at the moment. Better than the "alternatives" we were allowed to choose from, but nowhere near what could have been.
Much of the friction I've seen comes from people who think he deserves the highest "A" possible (and maybe even deserving of a special new grade we create above that like an "A+++ Awesome" . That isn't true in any objective accounting and like any pre-med-school student worried about their GPA, we fight brecuase anything less than that "A" simply must be a hater's "F."
