I don't believe I was selected individually. I believe was chosen for the political advertising because of a page I visited, or by something I wrote, or by demographics. It might be my age -- definitely senior; my love of content featuring cats, Buffalo Bills, food recipes. Or my location -- about 70 miles away from NY. Or my interest in religions. Or my friends, who come from all over the world.

I have coordinated Facebook campaigns for a business. And I knew how to snare customers using demographic data; home neighborhood information; education; interests and hobbies; spiritual beliefs.

What interests me in this campaign is the timing of it. Perhaps Gov. Newsom is trying to secure the early lead over the rest of the field for 2028. Maybe he's reminding the East coast that he is running and acquainting us with some of his areas of expertise. I would think it's kind of a big deal if any of the proposed candidates are taking steps -- even little steps-- in crafting a strong run in 2028 with the tools that are available.
