I was surprised to see Kos from Daily Kos slam the Third Way this week as he generally isn't what many view as a Progressive Democrat.
Since every Democrat knows very well who these people are it was hardly necessary for Kos to explain why they should be viewed as the real threat they are to our party. But he did just in case there is anyone left who doesn't get it!
So for whatever reason, even Kos who prides himself on his 'pragmatism' (the Third Wayers love that word btw) apparently does know just how real the threat from this Wall St Think Tank is to the Dem Party:

To my knowledge, Kos is not a Bernie fan, more of a Hillary fan, or whoever the Status Quo candidate might be. However even HE sees the sheer nonsense being spewed the these Wall St Investors regarding Progressive Ideals re SS and other popular issues with the American people as proposed by Sanders.
Because the Third Way has taken now to attacking both Elizabeth Warren AND Bernie Sanders which shows us how SCARED They are of the PEOPLE.
But hey, the stuff that excites you and motivates you to vote? Nope, not exciting. Third Way decided. But you know what Third Way thinks will get you pumped?
Well, they hate that Bernie wants to expand SS and give the PEOPLE their OWN MONEY when they retire:

Good Diary from Kos, I'm glad he sees what a threat these arrogant, Wall St investors are and have been to our party.
HOWEVER, kos has claimed that Hillary is NOT 'beholden' to the Third Way:

Regardless who wins the Democratic nomination, our next president will be a Democrat, and he or she will do it by explicitly rejecting the Third Way agenda.
In that piece, you list the Third Way Board of Trustees. A simple search using the OpenSecrets.org database reveals a far more likely truth.
Kos is right about rejecting their agenda as a winning platform but Hillary won't be doing that which the Third Way clearly knows:

He just hasn't grasped yet that Hillary has TOLD US she is not a Liberal. She is a 'Moderate' and we have taken her at her word.
And so have The Third Way who warned her last week to beware of swing to the Left, or else!
Warren told them where to take their 'lectures' to HER.
But it appears that Hillary's support for the Death Penalty, for considering Raising the Retirement Age among other less than Liberal positions this week means SHE at least DOES take their advice!
Kos is still right however in that the Third Way must be REJECTED by our Party before they destroy it completely.
Oh, and I wonder how much they have poured into those Super Pacs of Hillary's???

The Clinton campaign has taken back the momentum in the Democratic primary race and now leads in three of the first four contests. Clinton also leads nationally among Democrats.
I'm sure all of this is very 'unscientific'. REAL PEOPLE voting or donating doesn't really mean anything because people are NOT scientific. So we are told anyhow.
The Sanders message is resonating to the point where three-quarters of a million Americans have opened their wallets and said enough is enough. Bernie Sanders is steadily building a movement that could change America.
Fortunately people in the real world don't care much about the Corporate Media's non issues related shows, and are quietly focusing on changing this country before it is completely swallowed by Corporations and Wall St Banks.

You believe you are a victim of men 'shouting you down'? Seriously? Is that why you voted for the Iraq War, supported the awful Welfare Reform Act, Doma, the TPP among other awful policies that so adversely affected the lives of millions of people? Men shouted you down?
This is the image you want to portray, not just of yourself, but women in general?
I strenuously object to that portrayal of women. It sets women back several generations to the point where that WAS the way women were portrayed.
It kept them from occupying positions of power, from being taken seriously on issues that 'only men were capable of dealing with'.
Women were viewed as weak,they needed protection, belonged in their homes, too emotional to be trusted with jobs that required strength and leadership abilities.
Since then women have fought hard to erase those images and to some extent, though there is more work to be done, have succeeded. They still have not achieved equality in the workplace, there are not enough women in our government, but we are, or thought we were, making progress.
I hope your portrayal of yourself is not taken as a portrayal of women in general. Women have fought too hard for too long AGAINST the stereotype!

But I want to talk about a woman who absolutely rejects the notion that she might view herself as a victim.
She is also running for the office of President of her country, an election the world is currently watching.
Her name is Aung San Suu Kyi!

Last night I watched an interview with her and was struck by the contrast between her and our female candidate for President.
Knowing her life story, she certainly could legitimately claim to have been a victim.
However, when she was asked how she felt about being so victimized, she adamantly refused to accept that characterization:
'But, I was NOT a victim' - she stated.
The interviewer seemed surprised and pressed her on the question, again, asking her WHY she does not consider herself a victim!
'How can I be a victim when everything was MY CHOICE?' She insisted.
How refreshing. A woman who REFUSES to be characterized as a victim DESPITE, or maybe BECAUSE of the incredible tragedy her life has been.
No complaining about victimhood from her!
She is strong, despite or again, maybe because of all the adversities she has faced.
Separated from her two sons, unable to watch them grow up.
Unable to visit her husband in England as he lay dying.
Her decades-long loss of freedom, a conniving, brutal Military Junta really, seriously out to 'get her' and they did.
Yet she insists pretty strongly that she is not a victim, she refuses to consider that at all.
I know she and Hillary have met. I wonder what she thinks of a woman like Hillary claiming to be victim?
Their policies on War eg could not be further apart.
She is for peaceful resolution of conflicts despite, or maybe BECAUSE of all the brutality she witnessed in her own country.
After watching this beautiful, strong woman last night, I felt a little sad for this country where powerful women who have been so privileged all their lives, rather than appreciate how fortunate they are, or show the strength women possess, choose instead to claim victimhood.

When will the 'scientific polls' start polling all potential primary voters?
Just wondering, so far I've seen just one poll of Independent voters which showed Bernie way ahead of Hillary.
And while it's hard to poll non-registered voters, we have been signing up people from that huge demographic for Bernie, getting them back into the system, in open primary states they cannot be tracked by polls.
Here in NY however, a closed primary state with a ridiculously early registration date, planned to occur before the first debate, we managed to get some previously non voters registered as Democrats. So far, not one of them has been polled.

I guess this is why her campaign works so hard to DISTRACT from all these mental gymnastics to try to distract from the Issues because when people FOCUS on the issues, her record doesn't hold up very well.
So, they bring out the CARDS! And they use them to try to pull people AWAY from the issues she cannot explain.
Bernie doesn't use such negative tactics.
Nor does he use Corporate Funded Super Pacs to PLANT RED CARD SMEARS in the Media.
He doesn't use surrogates or paid operatives to address the Issues or to DISTRACT FROM THEM.
HE handles these things HIMSELF.
That's what a leader does.
No sneaky smear campaigns for Bernie. He tells the truth PUBLICLY.
The Cards being played are NOT resonating with the public.
The People care about the ISSUES.
Political Dirty Tricks are now thoroughly despised by a majority of the People.
So I watch them play the Race Card, the Red Card, the Gender Card and I know they are dooming Hillary's campaign so why would I try to stop them?
I don't! I focus on the ISSUES and PROMOTING my Candidate because it is so easy to do that.
He IS one of the BEST Candidates for the Democratic Party nomination in a very long time.
We don't need any 'Cards' to try to distract from OUR candidate.
It's obvious that Hillary's campaign feels THEY do.
Keep on telling the TRUTH Bernie! That's all you need to do!
