It's about the FLDS (fundamentalist church of the latter day saints) and Warren Jeffs and polygamy.
Bottom line this docu explored what is a 'cult' - disguised as a religious cult.
What struck me about this docu - was those in the cult that are still loyal to the cult and believe in its doctrine (I call them prisoners of the cult) and how totally they have been indoctrinated.
Their comments made in this docu are reminiscent of those of the MAGA's and the cult following surrounding Tr**p.
I'm just curious if anyone else here watched this program and if they came away with the same impressions I did with respect to the MAGA's and Tr**p?
I see hope for some of the MAGA's as many of these FLDS members ultimately broke away from the clutches of Jeffs and this cult.
What struck me is that Jeffs is in prison until 2038 when he is eligible for parole and its rumored that he is still running the cult from prison.
Is that the faith of Tr**p and the MAGA's? Hmmmm......

When does that time clock start?
The Tr**p Org isn't prohibited from doing business in NYC for good - right? It still exists. If Tr**p needs to liquidate properties in order to pay his penalty - how does he and his sons do it if they can't run the biz.
What happens after 2 yrs pass & the sons are eligible again? You can't tell me that Tr**p will not be telling his sons what to do that third year?
Can they set up shop in some other State in the interim? Wouldn't any other State be on notice and watching for the same tricks they pulled in NY?
I need somebody to walk me through this whole thing. I'm confused!!!

I've heard so many theories.
- he'll primary them and they'll be out of a job
- they are worried that he'd sic violence on them or their families
- he has kompromat on them
- Putin has kompromat on the whole Party
- they're afraid of the MAGA followers and the threats they make
- I just heard Nikki Haley criticize him - but in the end says she'll vote for him
- they want to keep Tr**p's MAGA supporters
Has any Repug or former Repug in Congress ever said they're being blackmailed? Or ever explained why they're afraid of him?
Are they really worried to lose their cushy jobs? I'm thinking they can step away from Congress at any time and still be gainfully employed and in the chips $'s.
Does Tr**p have goons out there that would really inflict violence on them or harm them?
Would Tr**p's MAGA supporters abandon the Repug Party - if Tr**p was drummed out of it?
What makes Tr**p so powerful in the Party? One thought I've had is that he'd take the whole Party down - making crap up and lying - just to get even with the Party if they took him down.
Are the Repugs in Congress so big of cowards that they're waiting till Nov for the American People to take Tr**p down?
I just don't get it. They've had so many chances to rid him from the Party and they always wind up circling the wagons around this guy.
Do they really want to end our Democracy? Do they really want a dictator?
Is the fix in for November and they know that they have got the election wrapped up and he'll win?
I know that they are desperate. I think they'll do anything to win in November.
Should we really take all the threats as credible?
Given all the criminality surrounding Tr**p and his cronies - you'd think he'd be gone by now. What is wrong with the American People that support this guy and his Party? Don't they realize that if they vote him in - they'd have to live under the same rules that he'll apply to his non-loyalists?
I just don't get it? In your responses - please try to answer this in detail. I've asked a lot of questions in this post and I'd really like to have some legitimate responses so I can (so we can) make sense of what is really happening.

When The Media Dwells On Biden's Age - Day After Day - Night After Night On News Shows....
Day Time and Night Time talk shows. When comics think its funny to comment on Biden's age and continually make jokes about his age. When the Repugs keep hammering about Biden's age or mis-speaks - what do you think would happen.
The American People when asked - spit that back in the polls. That's why the poll's that are reported - cite the fact that the American People are concerned about Joe's age.
It's the repetition that adds up.
If the media would spend as much time talking about all the successes of Biden and his experience; his wisdom - don't you think that the polls would begin to reflect that?
I'm 75 y/o and have lived through every President from Eisenhower till now - and I can't remember when a President talked directly to the People like Joe talks to us. I'm proud of Joe Biden and rank him as the best President of my lifetime. Now that's quite an achievement - when I've lived through terms of the likes of Johnson, Kennedy, Carter, Clinton and Obama.
Again if the media - played clips of his speeches that focus on his accomplishments - how much he's got done for the American People - how it impacts on their daily life and makes things better - the polls would reflect that.
Instead the media weighs on every nonsense utterance of Tr**p and always seem to find a way to put a positive spin on his nonsense.
Today - I noticed that the Cable News Shows kept reading and repeating all those damaging passages from this Hur Report. They are brainwashing the American Public and that gets reinforced by the late night TV hosts, talk shows and talking heads.
If Biden loses I blame the media (as I stated above) for the loss.
States Rights Seems To Be Only Mentioned & Used When It Benefits The Repugs......
Like in the abortion issue. Each State can pass their own interpretation.
In this ballot case - I agree that Colorado was making the decision for Colorado.
The way I see it - Colorado had the courage to take on this issue and decided for their State. "States Right" huh!!!
With Tr**p off the ballot in Colorado - he would have no chance to gain any electoral votes for that State. He still could amass the number of electoral votes in the other States to win the presidency. So Colorado was 'not deciding the election for the nation'. Only for Colorado.
Now if other States had followed through and made the same decision as Colorado to not allow Tr**p on the ballot - they too would be making the decision only for their respective State.
Now if - and only if - enough States joined in and did not allow Tr**p on the ballot - it is only then when it could reach the point where it would be impossible for Tr**p to win enough electoral votes to win the presidency.
But - yes each State would be making a decision for their respective State - States Rights again here in play - however, in my opinion - when it reaches the point in the process where a candidate can't amass the required number of electoral votes to win - as a group - they are now speaking for the majority of the American People that such a candidate shouldn't be elected president.
Now - if SCOTUS votes against Colorado - in fact - they are inhibiting other States to - if the State wanted to - invoke their States Right to eliminate a candidate from the ballot on their State. Kinda like cutting them off at the pass.
Bottom line - SCOTUS is inhibiting the possibility of enough States to speak for the American People.
I hope you could follow my logic here. This is how I'm interpreting this whole matter.
