I Just Spent The Most Delightful, Amusing, Heartfelt Two Hours Of My Life.....
I just finished watching "The Happy Days of Garry Marshall".
In the midst of all the misery of this crisis that we are all enduring - this program came just at the right time.
Filled with many memories of 'the goods times that we've had' and 'hopeful that there are better days to come'. Happy Days!!!!!
I recommend to everyone to enjoy this program like I have enjoyed it. I hope they rerun it soon - because I'm sure that I'm going to talk it up so others can feel the way I do now.

What Kind Of Trlcks Will Trump Pull In Order To Gin Up The 3rdQrt Economic Numbers?....
He keeps talking about how great the 3rdQrt economy is going to flourish from all this pent-up demand of the American People. I just don't envision the 3rdQrt being at all good.
However, knowing Trump - he's going to do something to to gin up those numbers just before the Nov election and use that to get re-elected. I actually think he's fighting a losing battle and is just trying to say things so he doesn't lose any more of his deplorable supporters.
Yesterday - his press conference was more of a campaign speech where he touted the great job he's done combating this virus; the testing and availability of tests where most everyone says they can't get; his wall; the 3rdQrt rebirth of economy and how great next year will be for the Economy. [He's trying to take credit for next year already - in hopes that people will fall for that and vote for him. His fall-back when he loses is that 'if you would have elected me the economy would be gangbusters now but it's the Dems and Biden's fault that it is bad.]
I want to know - what he can pull to gin up 3Qrt numbers to his advantage?
Interesting That The Public Health Scientists Associated With The WH Are Quarantining.....
because they came into contact with someone in the WH that tested positive. How convenient. Hmmmm.... The only one that isn't quarantining is Dr.Brix. I guess her scarves protected her from being infected. Or is it that Trump has her in his back pocket and she will tow the re-opening line he's trying to foist on us.
I guess the task force will be heavily weighted now to those that are pro re-opening the economy. Coincidence? I think not.
How much more are we going to take of this? How much more of Trump can we endure?
A Friend Found Out This Morning That He Tested Positive For Covid-19......
He called me to inform me of this and as I questioned him I learned the following.
One of his part-time employees died of Covid about 3 weeks ago. He said the last time he saw the guy was about 3 weeks before he passed. This employee was a 68 y/o Latino. Knowing this - my friend was experiencing a sniffling nose and because he was exposed to a person that died of Covid, he went for testing. This morning - 2 days after he was tested - he got the news that he tested positive. We are in Illinois.
Upon further questioning of him - I learned that he wasn't told to quarantine for 14 days nor was he asked whom he'd been in contact with in the recent weeks.
I'm surprised of that because I thought it was standard procedure to inform a positive test case to quarantine and for them to perform some 'contact tracing' at the same time. You know - ask him whom he's been in contact with recently so they could follow-up with his contacts.
So now I'm wondering - what is the standard procedure and the responsibility of those informing a person of a positive test result?

In light of the happenings in the last few days regarding Flynn and his war on Intelligence; the complete lack of doing anything to minimize the impact of this virus; his lack of caring for the massive death toll this virus is taking; the double standard of WH testing versus testing for the rest of the American People; his pushing to open the economy with no regards for the consequences of a second spike; etc - has he just resigned himself to losing in November and just doesn't care or does he know that they will steal the November election and remain in power? Why is he throwing caution to the wind?
I just don't comprehend what is going on anymore in this country. I just don't get it.

What Are The Prospects Of The Economy Growing Again By November's Election?......
What will Trump be looking for about the economy to say that it's growing again? What does he expect to happen with respect to the economy that he thinks will get him re-elected? Are the American People that stupid to take his word for it that the economy has recovered and it was because of him?
Will it be a recovery from the growing unemployment numbers? How much will the unemployment numbers have to go down for it to indicate a growing economy?
Will it be a stock market recovery to pre-Covid numbers? Is that even possible with the fact that because of the high unemployment that the American People won't have the money to spend to kick start the economy? What about the potential for monumental bankruptcy's?
Do you think we'll be in a position by November to see people traveling again? Flying? Vacationing? Major meetings and conventions coming back to the major convention cities? Hotels thriving? Las Vegas re-opening?
I know I have a convention scheduled in Las Vegas for the last week of September. I don't think I'm going to that meeting - even if Las Vegas is re-opened. I'm deathly afraid of contracting the virus and I'm in a high risk group as a Senior citizen. I have to believe that a lot of American's feel the same way I do and will be still staying close to home. This will be especially true if because of the premature re-openings going on now cause a second spike in the cases and deaths.
I believe if we see a second spike - the Guv's are going to have to close down the States again and invoke the stay-at-home orders. That could probably hit around the Fall of this year.
I'm curious to hear what others here have to say about how Trump is going to spin this in order to be re-elected.
