Bill Nelson in Florida should have gone on the offense the other night and claim funny business in voting in Florida and he should have put Rick Scott on the defense.
Yesterday, however, Scott went on the offense in Florida.
He suggested there was “rampant fraud” and called for law enforcement to investigate two counties over their election practices as his lead in the state’s U.S. Senate race continued to shrink Thursday evening.
He repeatedly accused liberals of trying to “steal” the election from him in Broward and Palm Beach counties. He called out the Democratic supervisors of elections by name saying every Floridian should be concerned there may be rampant fraud happening in Palm Beach and Broward counties. He offered no specific evidence of fraud, saying only that the counties were the only two in the state where there were irregularities.
He put the Dems and Bill Nelson on the defense now and vowed he'd fight to keep his win. He appeared on Fox News to also make these same statements.
Too bad Nelson didn't draw first blood and put Scott on the defense. Now if the race is overturned and goes to Nelson - the fight will continue and this race might not be resolved for a long time.

How Did Whitaker Get So High Up In The DOJ?.....
Who hired him in the first place? Did they vett him as I understand he's had a checkered past? How long has he been employed in the DOJ? What qualified him for a job in the DOJ? How much contact has he had with Trump?
This Post Begs The Question - What Will Mueller's Report Have To Prove....
in order to stop Trump once and for all?
Really - all this time that Mueller has been investigating Trump - Trump has been out there using his bully pulpit to taint the jury pool (half of the American public). He's called the Press/Media - the enemy of the people; he's belittled the FBI and the DOJ; he's gotten away with all sorts of things that other presidents couldn't have gotten away with. He uses one news network as his mouthpiece. He's supported racists. He calls himself a nationalist (white implied). He's attacked women, gays, immigrants. Just about every thing he says is a lie. He's basically gotten away with all of that up to now. Though we all know this - there just ain't nothing anyone can do about any of this.
He just shoves our noses in it and laughs at us. Everything he does is rationalized as "that is just Trump being Trump". All his erratic behavior has been normalized.
So I ask - what will stop him? What does Mueller's report have to say that will put a stop to Trump?
I know that a lot of the American People will welcome Mueller's report - but I ask - will it be effective in anyway to stop the madness. We know Trump's supporters will follow him and support him no matter what it says. We know the impotent Repug's will just circle the wagons around him. We know that he's stacked the courts - SCOTUS included. We know that he will use the power of the pardon to give a get out of jail card to his partners in crime.
Will more indictments of more of his cronies even help?
I really feel sick bringing up all this. I've been demoralized in the two years that he's been around. I wake up every morning and check DU to see what crazy thing he's done or said and what kind of trouble he's brought on to this country. I want it to stop - but I'm not sure if even Mueller can make it stop.
Have There Been Any Postings On The Voter Turnout For The Midterms?....
I'm curious as to the numbers of people that came out to vote in the Midterms. We were saying that it would take record number of voters to beat the Repugs. Did we in fact have record number of voters?
I'm On A Quest To Find The Ideal Tomato Pizza Sauce....
To me it's the sauce that makes the pizza. I don't like sweet pizza sauces. I like the savory tomato flavored sauces where the emphasis is on the tomato. One in particular I like but don't have the recipe for uses some tomato paste in the recipe I'm told.
So your mission if you choose to accept it is to post recipes for tomato sauces that I can use for pizza and also may double as a pasta sauce as well. I watch a lot of food/cooking shows and I'm always hearing of sauces past down for generations that are secret recipes. If anyone has one of those recipes that they'd like to share - I would appreciate it.
I've traveled to Europe quite a bit and learned that the tomatoes there actually taste like tomatoes. They are more flavorful. I don't know what they do with tomatoes here in the U.S. - but most are bland and tasteless.
So any recommendations you can provide to me for a flavorful tomato/pizza/pasta sauce would be appreciated.
I Guess A Mass Shooting Isn't That Unique Anymore....
Usually with a mass shooting the networks would be covering it continuously with all sorts of reporters and reports. Today I woke up and read something about 12 or 13 people being killed - but have not been able to get much detail. I guess these shootings have become so commonplace these days that they aren't much news anymore.
It's Clear To Me That Trump Will Stop At Nothing To Save Himself.....
This firing of Sessions was just another example of that.
The question is how far is he willing to go to protect himself and what does that mean for us and this country?
MSNBC Is Giving Trump Too Much Credit For This Move.....
Listening to MSNBC and especially Ari Melber - they seem to be giving Trump too much credit for this move of firing Sessions. They are making Trump look like he thought of this move all by himself.
I don't believe this.
I think someone is researching this out for Trump and is advising him on what move to make and when to make it.
They just said that there was no date on Sessions resignation letter. I'm thinking that this letter was put together a while back and was just waiting and ready for the appropriate time to be used.
The Dems taking the House was a real blow to Trump and the Repugs. Don't let Trump fool you that he's not bothered by this and that he's happy and is patting himself on the back for keeping the Senate for the Repugs. He and the Repugs are spooked.
He and the Repugs are rattled by the Dems winning the House. Trump could not let the news cycle be about the Dems taking the House. He had to make it about himself and be the center of attention.
Hence - pull out Sessions resignation letter today and put the wheels in motion to silence Mueller.
Just when you think we're getting an edge here - Trump and the Repugs pull the rug out from under us. They didn't let us savor in this win for even a 24 hour period.
Just demoralizing. That's all I got to say.
