With seniors the most vulnerable to covid and most likely to vote GOP, this may be a perfect storm

for Trump. As the latest polling shows in Florida, seniors ar abandoning Trump. I bet the main reason is because he doesn't give a shit about something that has about a 1 in 10 chance of killing them if they get it. I know a lot of Republicans and the young ones don't give a shit about what goes on with covid but their conservative grandparents are not traveling, not wanting to leave the house much. You can get they want this under control and for someone to care about getting the numbers down and that is not Trump.

Trump never developed passed preconventional moral reasoning seen in children

He isn't some political genius, he has the brain of a spoiled brat and never developed beyond that. For example when Trump says "People are saying....". Pundits will act like this is very skilled. Honestly, I don't think this is skilled and calculated political maneuvering at all. Many grade school kids use this. It's an instinctual way to make it sound like you have a lot of support for an idea when you don't. Ever heard your son say "But Jimmy's parents say it's alright." Any kid has this skill at a very young age it's nothing to be amazed about. In fact it really shows how shallow Trump is. When a kid is insecure and trying to make his case he will say something like this out of a primeval, childish instinct. It's still on the level of preconventional moral reasoning and certainly not an example of political skill except for stupid people.

Also, when he makes up names for people, is another example of this, like "Little Marco". This isn't something he thought deep and hard about as to how he could win over the masses at all. It's just Trump saying shit a teenage bully would say and then you have political pundits acting astonished at his political "skills". I remember Scott Adams being just AMAZED at Trump's political "skills". (see video below). Adams was completely full of shit on an epic level. Trump literally says what a 2nd grader would say and gets away with it because he inherited billions and so people have this illusion Trump is smart and authentic, when he has always been a complete fool with the brain of a child. Another example is how he values things the same way a little kid does. For example, bigger is better, having a lot is better etc. Again, in the stages of human development this is preconventional reasoning, like my dad is stronger than your dad type thinking. I don't think Trump ever developed abstract moral reasoning. He has the brain of a child. Scott Adams and anyone who is amazed with Trump's political skills is a fucking joke! Adams wasn't even duped by Trump either because Trump isn't thinking on some super deep level. Again, it's like Adams thinking a teenage bully is brilliant because that is literally as developed as Trump's brain ever became.

Give a bratty, bully teenager who sucks at school billions, then make him look old and you have Trump and his cult following. It doesn't go any deeper than that.

There was a racist backlash against Obama but it's going to be dwarfed by the backlash against Trump

and his winking at white supremacists and efforts to sow division and hatred. Backlash against Trump is likely causing all these racist confederate monuments to come down now when it couldn't get done before. The racists are badly outnumbered and putting Trump in was their last gasp. When you lose NASCAR you're losing badly! The people will speak loudly this fall.
