be around 10 times the confirmed. So there really have been probably around 25 million cases with 126,000 deaths. Death rate of .5 which is still very deadly. 1 in 200 people die from this.

Which would be a more reasonable 0.5-0.7% mortality rate.

But that still implies 1.5 million dead before herd immunity is reached.

So we have to choose between 1.5 million dead from covid-19 -or-
suffer the consequences of a broken economy for several years with a complete shutdown lasting 6-12 months.
If country is shutdown for a year, there will be suicides galore, domestic abuse galore, divorces galore, unemployment reaching 100 million,
food shortages, water shortages, kids not getting educated, and so on and on.

Very difficult choice lies ahead. There simply are not many good options.

At the worst, it was near 6%.

It does seem that the death rate has accelerated again in the last 48 hours. The dead was 121,000 just a couple days ago. None of the trend is good. And we have a moron leading the country that doesn't care.

I had to go to a funeral last week and went to the lunch afterwards. There was 150 people there, almost no masks, no social distancing. I have been quarantining myself since. Normally, I avoid stuff like that completely.

In fact, it looks like 4,000-5,000 people died in the last two days. If that doesn't drop, it will mean that 14,000-15,000 people per week will be dying, I believe the worst that we would have experienced.

Now we've broken the new case record (we were a little over 100 short yesterday - despite announcements to the contrary in at least the WAPO yesterday).
