"I stand with the Democratic Party of Barack Obama -- the party that fought for and passed the ACA"!

I stand with the Democratic Party of Barack Obama — the party that fought for and passed the Affordable Care Act — an historic transformation of our health care system that took a generation to achieve. And I’m proud to say I was there when we passed it. I’m not walking away from ObamaCare — I want to build on it. Maybe others want to walk away from ObamaCare — I don’t. And I don’t believe the Democratic party should walk away from it either. I make no apologies for that.

Cheers, highplainsdem!

Whoa.. this could apply to those who are calling

different views than theirs "repub talking points"!

Some call it the “my way or the highway” approach to politics. But it’s worse than that. It’s condescending to the millions of Democrats who have a different view.

Thanks, George.. this opened up a whole opportunity for Biden to state his Democratic creds and history.

So agree with this!>>>>>

This is no way to get anything done. This is no way to bring the country together. This is no way for this party to beat Donald Trump.

My health care plan expands coverage, lowers costs, lowers drug costs, allows people to keep their private insurance and won’t raise taxes on the middle class. I think it’s the best plan. That doesn’t mean I think those who disagree with me are cowards or small thinkers. And it doesn’t mean someone else doesn’t have some good ideas. I just think it’s a better way.

You're too right, George.. I is a "Good Read"! Thank Goodness we have Biden running!

Ouch.

Sanders’s Medicare-for-all plan (like his entire political career) is arguably more about pushing the Democratic Party leftward, not coming up with real, implementable policies — or at least, not doing the homework required to determine if his proposals are real, implementable policies.

Yes, Sanders loves to talk about how he “wrote the damn bill” on Medicare-for-all. But he hasn’t even attempted to figure out its financing. That would require him to document his claim that middle-class Americans will come out ahead financially even if their taxes go up.

.. I don’t think I have to do that right now.”

Thank you for this, comradebillyboy

I know you have, she! And, here's President Obama

standing up for his "signature legislation" in December 2018!

You're so right.. the votes weren't there. I remember talking to my Congressman, Michael Arcuri.. a blue dog in a swing district about "the public option" and he let me know there weren't votes for that.

President Obama got what he could and was punished for it by the rw hate machine and those who stayed home in 2010 because it wasn't perfect. They sure showed us.. it could have been made better but not voting was evidently more important to them

'Republicans will never stop': Obama slams GOP after ruling against Affordable Care Act

snip//

Former President Barack Obama responded Saturday on social media to a federal judge's ruling that core aspects of the Affordable Care Act were unconstitutional, calling the decision "a reminder that Republicans will never stop trying to undo" the protections offered by his signature health care law

"If they can’t get it done in Congress, they’ll keep trying in the courts, even when it puts people’s pre-existing conditions coverage at risk," Obama said in a Facebook post. "The only way to convince them to stop trying to repeal this law, and start working to make health care better, is to keep voting, in big numbers, in every election, for people who’ll protect and improve our care."

Barack Obama Tweet:

There are two things you need to know today about health care.

First, today’s the last day of open enrollment. That means it’s the deadline to make sure you and the people you love have health insurance in 2019. So head over to HealthCare.gov to get covered!

Second, you might have heard about a federal court decision on a Republican lawsuit trying to strike down the Affordable Care Act in its entirety. That can be a scary thing to hear, particularly if you or someone you ...
