https://www.unilad.co.uk/animals/dog-separated-from-family-waited-by-police-car-for-help/?source=facebookThis Very Clever Boy patiently waited for help from the right place when he got separated from his humans. When Hank, a pup hailing from Florida, managed to leave his family home in the dark he had a pretty great solution to being very lost.
Along the journey to find his way back home, Hank stumbled upon a police car. The cop car belonged to Deputy Soto and Sergeant Rose, of the Lee County Sheriffs Office in Florida but unfortunately, they were both out on a call. So, Hank set himself up to wait for the return of his valiant uniformed saviours. After an untold amount of time, eventually Hank was rescued by the cops.
As they headed back to their police car they noticed something standing against one of the doors. As they got closer, they realized it was a dog. As he appeared to be a little lost, the cops really took Hank who they identified from his collar under their proverbial wing. The dog was immediately happy to see the officers, they told The Dodo, and it almost seemed as if Hank had been waiting for them to help him

Heartbreaking to see how liberal and modern they used to be.. There are younger folks who have lived their whole lives repressed & brainwashed..
and YES I DO know what a bum the Shah was, but what they have now is even worse..
The photos are amazing...
can't get them to display here.. check them out..

From women sporting Farrah Fawcett haircuts at a party to a couple posing for photos in the snow, images of life across Iran in the 60s and 70s portray a vibrant kingdom on the brink of change.
The photos were all taken in Iran before the Islamic Revolution, which saw the ousting of King Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and the installment of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini - a shift that would have long-lasting and far reaching implications.
Compared to previous rulers, Pahlavi was revolutionary - he banned the hijab, saying it suppressed women, encouraged education for everyone and granted women the right to vote.
The Iranian women's rights movement was going strong in the 1960s and 70s, and many women joined the work force and mixed freely with men.
Images of young Iranians at parties and in magazine ads reveal the tension between modern and traditional influences tussling for supremacy.
At the time, actresses who were later banned from performing posed up in short skirts for magazines, while locals were photographed skiing and wearing swimsuits and Miss Iran contestants enjoyed paddle-boat outings

My good news/bad news about my taxes
I finally went to my tax guy to file..My husband died Oct 26th, so I was unsure about filing on my own online,,
We went through all the steps and he said to me.. You do not owe ANYTHING.. Yay!!.. then he said he could print it out for me, but it would cost me $188. or I could just say never mind and that would be it.. That was the good news..
the bad news? apparently, I am too poor to actually OWE taxes
So if I never make any more than we did last year, I'm golden forever..
Preventing his re-election is more important than Mueller's report
and I really think it's very do-able:
Wisconsin/Michigan/Pennsylvania are the key states... everything else is gravy..
The info from the report will take time to work thru the courts.. We just need to focus on not letting him win again.. His loser brigade will follow him over the cliff.. we just need to concentrate on the truly winnable states and let him have the rest..
I thought this would be a FL or TX story, but it's NY

odd though it's described as an "above ground BASEMENT pool" hmmm..

New York state prosecutors and environmental authorities say they've arrested a 38-year-old man who allegedly kept live sharks in an above-ground pool in his basement and attempted to sell them online.
Joshua Seguine allegedly first came to the attention of New York Department of Environmental Conservation in 2017, when he allegedly was found in possession of five undersized sharks in the back of his truck. Seguine allegedly admitted that he intended to sell them and said he had additional live sharks at his home, according to a press release from the New York Attorney General's office.

Authorities discovered Seguine was allegedly operating an online business and had allegedly offered sharks for sale as recently as June 29, 2017 on the website MonsterFishKeepers.com, the release said. Environmental authorities executed a search warrant the next month at the home south of Albany and allegedly discovered an 18-foot above ground pool with seven live sharks, later identified by biologists as sandbar sharks. CBS New York reported in 2017 the young sandbar sharks were between 2 and 4 feet long. The protected species, which can grow up to 6-8 feet, are illegal to own in the state without a special license, the statement said. The cost to legally acquire a sandbar shark is about $11,500, prosecutors say.
Investigators also found two dead leopard sharks, one dead hammerhead shark, and the snout of a smalltooth sawfish, an endangered species, prosecutors say. The sandbar sharks were taken in by a local aquarium.

WTF Minnesota??? You Can Now Buy A Gun That Looks Like An iPhone
https://www.unilad.co.uk/technology/you-can-now-buy-a-gun-that-looks-like-an-iphone/Just when you thought the world wasnt dangerous enough already, someone has decided to invent a gun that looks exactly like a smartphone.
Yeah, really. Minnesota-based manufacturer Ideal Conceal have made a double-barrelled pistol, which can carry two bullets and even has laser sights.
The .380 calibre handgun can be folded up to look like your bog-standard smartphone and is expected to go on sale in the U.S. in the coming months, Business Insider UK reports.
According to its manufacturer, it has been designed to hide in plain sight and easily fits into a purse or back pocket, making it virtually undetectable. Terrifying, basically.
On their website, it says:
The idea for Ideal Conceal follows the present-day demand for handguns that people can carry on a day to day basis, in a manner that makes carrying a gun easy to do. From soccer moms to professionals of every type, this gun allows you the option of not being a victim. European police have now been warned to remain vigilant as its expected to be imported illegally into the continent after its release.

Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman Hit With a $500 Billion Lawsuit for College Admissions Scam
As the whole internet continues to meme the hell out of the college admissions exam cheating scandal, Full House and Desperate Housewives actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman just got caught in another huge legal battle.
Hopefully, youve been keeping up with the wild ride that is this major scam, in which Loris daughter and YouTuber Olivia Jade was allegedly admitted to University of Southern California based on fake test scores and her being a crew recruitshe does not row crew, BTW. Felicity also allegedly used the service to bribe her kids way into college. Obviously, when students who are less than qualified are allegedly admitted based on how much money their parents can throw at a school or a shady service, that makes people who didnt get into the school of their dreams pretty upset. Thats where Jennifer Kay Toy and her son Joshua, who apparently had a 4.2 GPA, come in.
Toy, an Oakland school teacher, filed a lawsuit against Lori, Felicity, and dozens of others involved in the scam, totaling $500 billion. In court documents, Toy stated, Joshua applied to some of the colleges where the cheating took place and did not get in. Joshua and I believed that hed had a fair chance just like all other applicants but did not make the cut for some undisclosed reason.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) The fallout from the nationwide college admission scheme continued Wednesday with USC announcing its reviewing the applications of students involved in the scandal, which includes Olivia Jade Giannulli, the daughter of actress Lori Loughlin.
USC released the following statement:
Applicants in the current admissions cycle who are connected to the scheme alleged by the government will be denied admission to USC. We are going to conduct a case-by-case review for current students and graduates that may be connected to the scheme alleged by the government. We will make informed, appropriate decisions once those reviews have been completed. Some of these individuals may have been minors at the time of their application process. USC has not released information on what specific actions would be taken as a result of the review.
Loughlin was in federal court Wednesday in Los Angeles, where she and her husband Mossimo Giannulli are accused of paying $500,000 in order for their two daughters to be designated as recruits to the USC crew team despite the fact that neither of them ever participated in crew, the indictment claims. Loughlin was later released on $1 million bond, the same amount on which Giannulli was released Tuesday.
