(4,066 posts)I think people forget just how little personal power a President has. We hated that when Obama was in office and we've loved it since Trump took office. The real levers of power in are Congress and the Judiciary. They make long-lasting decisions. I'm not saying the President doesn't. They do it though leading, guiding and negotiating. The President's EOs can be easily wiped out by the next President.
The real power of the Presidency the power lead and set direction. We know Trump isn't working at being doing anything other than selling his brand and making the country worse off.
Mayor Pete's lack of experience as an the Executive a state level or in Congress doen't concern me too much. I didn't say it is not a factor at all. I just don't think it's a big a deal as people would like to believe.
