6. Delaney was the first to enter the race

For a time I supported him because he represented the idea that there would be opposition to Trump in 2020. That idea meant (and means) a lot to me.

In a sense, he did all the right things. He literally spent almost 2 years visiting every corner of Iowa. His strategy was to make a big splash early. In the end, he never gained traction, and the moderate Dems he counted on went to Biden and Klobuchar.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
