of human rights were well known at the time. And ignoring the slam on JFK. What's more disturbing (and relevant) is Sanders antipathy towards "liberalism" as an ideology that he "saw through" and deemed irrelevant.
His clear rejection of liberalism (and our party--"I am not now, nor have I ever been, a liberal Democrat) makes me cringe every time he's called a "liberal" or "most liberal" in the press.
This statement makes his rejection of liberalism quite plain, and does so in his own words.
