As you go to your polling place on Tuesday... [View all]
Take your cell phone with you. If there are people outside of the polling place harassing voters going in, please take pictures or videos. Even if they are beyond the boundaries that prohibit electioneering, harassment should not take place. Take as many photos as you need to fully document the behavior.
Post your photos in public places, like Facebook and Twitter, and be sure to identify the location of the polling place, including city, state and precinct identifier in the caption where you post. We need to document voter intimidation wherever it occurs.
You may need to put your phone away when entering the polling place. Many states prohibit photos inside polling places. But documenting what happens outside is fine and legal.
Don't engage the harassers. Just document them and publicize the harassment. You can link here on DU to your postings, too.
If any sort of violence is being threatened, report that to the election judges inside and call your local law enforcement number to report it, as well.
Let's take voter intimidation viral.
Thank you in advance.
