We cannot credibly rail against the hyperpartisan gotcha-obssessed nature of politics when we participate in it. One Republican saying that a Dem POTUS is doing a good job in one non-partisan area is not even remotely akin to an endorsement, and by trying to make a partisan image out of it we are demonstrating to Reps what happens to any of them who dare unbend from unyielding utter hatred even a tiny bit - we will shamelessly capitalizen on it and use it as a partisan soundbite, truth be damned.

What's wrong with saying, "good for Christie - it's good to see a Republican acknowledge a good job by a Democrat these days"?
