My bike is slightly different from the one in the photograph. I have a 33 liter SHAD top case attached to the luggage rack and a taller windshield. Later this year I'll probably get a good crash bar to protect the engine case and put a set of foot pegs on it so I have an alternate sitting position for long rides.

I don't typically go for 6-speed bikes, but this is one a better machine as a result because I can ride slowly without bogging the motor down as well as cruise at 70 miles an hour without engine whine. At that speed I think it turns around 3500 rpms with a redline, if I correctly recall, at 7500.

The big wheels and long-travel suspension relegate passes through and over bumps to second thoughts. In fact, I think I can ford rivers with this thing since the fuel system and air intake is on top of the motor, not to mention the high, down-turned exhaust pipe.

I'm still undecided about whether I'll spend the extra money for bar-risers since I may have to get a/some longer cables too.

As for the seat, it's pretty good as is. I may just use a gel pad rather than replace it.

With the weather being the way it is for the past 2 months I haven't had many chances to ride yet, but the first 600 miles have been very nice indeed. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
