Hi! I know this is late, but I just joined and saw this. If you don't know by now, both sleep paralysis and hypnogogic hallucinations are symptoms of narcolepsy, which I have recently been diagnosed with in the past 6 months. The other symptoms are cataplexy (complete loss of muscle function, usually when experiencing extreme emotions) and extreme daytime sleepiness. Hope this helps!!
