20. I gave a speech in Berlin for an RAF dining out ceremony ...

where I told both British & Germans, that SoCal only has 2 seasons, Summer & Waiting-For-Summer. (Got good laughs)
But sometimes we have Fire Season, followed by Rainy Season and if you're really lucky, Riot Season (this was a couple of years after Rodney King).
Then I said the most obscene joke ever heard, and they didn't stop laughing for 2 minutes.
I didn't know what to do.
