This can be a tough room until you get to know a few people individually.

I've never been able to navigate very successfully even though I've been around for a while.

When I first joined, I'd pop into the middle of an ongoing back and forth thread , and expect to join in. It took a while to understand that certain people know each other very well and have a long history. All is not equal. It seems to be like real life in that way. Don't feel rejected.

Just stay friendly and you will gain trust that you are not trolling for sport. Or, what ever holds the regulars back.
