18. Not any more than usual

I have always been an insomniac. I sleep best between 4 AM and noon, but for some reason the rest of the world does not work on that schedule, though the internet comes close.

When I was running the farm, I have to drag my ass out of bed at 6 AM, but could take a nap after lunch so I'd be awake to deal with my clients between 5 and 8 PM (I boarded horses for people). I loved foaling season since I could be awake at my favorite times and had an excuse to be a zombie during the day.

Since I've been retired, it's been great. I can sleep when I want. Except right now, we're adding to the house and the framing crew gets here at 6 AM. For the first few days, they'd be quiet until they saw my husband or me up, then they'd start the pounding, hammering, and drilling. I told them to go ahead and not worry - I'd rather that they work as quick as possible than me getting sleep.

Even with that, I've been sleeping pretty good, though about one night a week I can't sleep since I start fretting about details for the addition. If I don't get to sleep in an hour or so, I get up, mess around on the internet (I Can Has Cheezbuger is great for that), and try again later. For some reason the construction is not waking me up before 9 AM most days.
