Not only did President Obama win the electoral vote by a WIDE margin, he also won more than 52% of the popular vote - and that percentage is still going up as the last votes are being counted. The GOP may still be in the majority in the House, but by a quite a few seats less than before.
All that Dems have to do is simply to sit tight for the New Congress to be sworn in. Perhaps there are a few Rs whose re-elections were a LOT tougher than they expected who might see the handwriting on the wall once some of the crazies like Walsh and West are totally outta there. I'm not seriously expecting much, if any, of that because there are still too many crazy Rs left. But one can always hope for a mild outbreak of sanity in the GOP, even if that is extremely unlikely.
But you, your colleagues-in-arms and Norquist just do NOT "get" it. It wasn't just your messengers, although they were indeed awful.
