(10,162 posts)3. It's now been a couple of years since I was able to travel out of the country,
but even then I would often get questions from Europeans about how dangerous it is to live here because of the guns. Most said they would never consider visiting the US for two reasons: guns and perceived lack of safety and since Trump since he was still in office at the time. I wonder how many millions of tourist dollars we will never see because people dont want to visit here since they know we often have several mass shootings per day. Of course, not every incident is reported in foreign media, but major gun violence is covered. And many Europeans especially read papers like the NYT and WaPo.
