3) He's been going around visiting wounded veterans and painting their portraits. Maybe he feels guilty about his involvement in their plight. Well, if that's true, at least he feels that emotion.

One time he was visiting some wounded soldiers and a mother lit into him and said it was his fault her son was wounded. He just took it. His aide asked him why. Bush said she ie entitled to her feelings. Compare that to Trump's attacks on the Khans.

1) His kids turned out okay. His daughters seem like genuinely nice and capable people. Maybe that was more their mother's influence, but he couldn't have been too bad a father.

His kids are great, wholly formed people. Compare them to Ivanka, Junior. and Eric.
