He and other top administration spokespeople have repeatedly and blatantly lied. Are we supposed to just believe this guy because he says so?

This would have been an easy lie for him to have made, too. Even IF it is an actual lie, Priebus knew the FBI would not say anything until the investigation would be near its end. That could be a while. Regardless, even if the investigation were to end this week with criminal actions being uncovered, a possible falsehood told by Priebus on television this past week would be the least of the Trump camp's problems.

There will be no harm visited upon the Trump camp as a result of Priebus' statement.
