(36,275 posts)83. I'm just noting, as do advertisers, that it's edible and used as such.
One customer I ran across said her friend actually had a doctor recommend putting a teaspoon in her morning smoothies to get rid of parasites she picked up in Costa Rica.
I've also learned that it's used abroad for people who might pick up gastrointestinal parasites in their eating and drinking.
An older lady at the farm store I bought it at in Florida says she takes a tablespoon of it in water every other day and feels great.
I've tried it, found it's tasteless and has no ill effects, but I'm not urging anyone to eat it.

Edible diatomaceous earth (just a few bucks on Amazon) kills all fleas/ticks on him and your house.

garden supply stores and many natural foods stores also carry the diatomaceous earth.
