I think that conscription is always wrong, except conceivably in the face of existential threat, and in the US the court case that decreed it to be constitutional was probably wrongly decided.
But it's not obvious to me that a draft that anyone can declare they object to and be exempt from is a thing,

not all people are capable. no one should be forced. there will always be enough that volunteer.

Actually, I think conscientious objector status should include more than just drafts.
