(2,419 posts)even though everything seemed to be quiet. Meanwhile, Christie's in Mexico. Maybe it's like in the old western movies where the desperado says if I could just make it to the Mexican border, it will all be alright.
I know everybody's got Christie fatigue, but there are 17,000 views. Now granted, 1,000 are from me doing edits, 1,000 are from Rocktivity , 1,000 are probably from the Ron Paul campaign's minions doing opposition research for the Republican primaries- that still leaves 14,000, which is a pretty healthy number. This is important for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is the arrogance and seeming impunity that people like Christie operate with. Government is supposed to be for doing the most good for society with the resources we have, not using those resources for the most good for the people in government-and their friends. Keeping the pressure up and the awareness of what's taking place is the best tool that ordinary people have. Did anybody ever expect to see the Virginia governor go to the crowbar hotel two years ago? Christie deserves disgrace, jail or both just as much as McDonnell. So bring yourself up to date with the latest happenings. The investigation is not dead yet-or even mostly dead.
