7. When I was a kid...

I remember going to the county fair and seeing these guys at a booth with bumper stickers about how Queen Elizabeth was a communist and how fluoride promoted thought control or some damn thing. They were crazy. We all knew it. But we only saw them and their mimeographed newsletters once a year.

Thanks to the internet and Fox News, these crazy bastards are part of our national political discussion. And also thanks to the rest of the mainstream media, which for some twisted reason thinks these people should be given a fair hearing ("balance" and all that), we're never going to get rid of them.

But it's probably Obama's fault...
