The fact that the supreme court has now rendered that law obsolete for religious reasons, should also render the whole "mandatory" part of the ACA obsolete. If you are required to buy insurance, and there are specific things that insurance needs to provide, then, taking away some of those provisions should also obsolete the mandatory nature of that coverage. Basically, what should happen, is that in cases like this, the employee should be able to sign up for an
ACA exchange, rather than be committed to using employer provided coverage.
