A Happy story [View all]

You don't hear too many of these so you should relish the few you do. There is a nice little restaurant that has opened in Morgantown, WV, it serves BBQ and very good BBQ at that. One of the side dishes on the menu is potato skins, which as I understand it are filled with all manner of tasty treats and are a quite popular item. Like so many eateries in Morgantown the place is staffed mostly by WVU students and many of them are young women. The restaurant also has a facebook page and about three weeks ago some asswipe posted a particularly misogynistic comment on it that really pissed off the place's owner. The posting said something to the effect that the place needed to show a lot more "skins" (sic) which in context meant that the young women should be scantly clad. As I said, this really pissed off the owner (a very decent young man).

So what did the Owner do? The right thing. He immediately increased the serving size of his Potato Skins and proudly printed on the menu that all proceeds from their sales (not the profit, the gross) will be donated to the local Rape and Domestic Violence Center.

Like I said, a very decent young man.
