At the very least he should recuse himself...When my sister and I were at the same college, I was asked to help interview students who wanted to become dormitory monitors. I immediately said no -- not because I didn't want to do it, but because my sister had told me she was considering going after one of those positions. Though I was just out of my teens, I didn't need to go sit on a mountain for forty days and nights and have it written on tablets of stone that it might "look funny" if my sister got a dorm monitor position from a committee that I was a member of!
According to this article, Senate President Stephen Sweeney (a reputed NJ DINO), isn't going to do anything about it: he said he
respects Senate Minority Leader Tom Kean Jr.'s decision to select O'Toole to be the lone Republican senator on the 12-member investigative committee. "There is a certain amount of power the Senate President has and you don't go beyond."
Which might be acceptable except that Tom Kean Jr. is the son of Christie's mentor...
