Say anything remotely offensive about women or homosexuals or muslims or non-caucasians being "different" or "weird" or "bad" and the DU-community will metaphorically crucify you.
But crack a knee-jerk fat-joke about an obese republican and occasionaly you get knee-jerk applause and most of the time you get the silence of indifference from the community, because, hey, it's just a republican.
"Yo' candidate for president is so fat, he looks unpresidential."
