Either way, can your preferred President get that through Congress, and if not, what should s/he do about it?
Should we have any US military in Iraq, even if the current Iraq government asks us to be there (and agrees to a SOFA), or asks us to completely withdraw all forces?
What about civilian contractors? If US firms want to do business there, and the Iraq government is ok with it, should the US government have any say? What if a contractor is working there with permission of the Iraqi government (i.e. not in contravention of any orders to stay out), but American citizens are kidnapped by anti-government forces?
