1. We are fortunate. We livea mile away from where our grass fed beef & pork grow up

We are friends with the farmer and put half a cow & half a pig in our deep freezer each year. We grow as many heirloom veggies as possible, then can or dry or freeze to keep the harvest. We have a dozen hens free ranging on bug patrol around our place. And we usually get a nice mess of blueberries, blackberries and pie cherries. So far the critters have won when it comes to our apple and peach trees, sadly....
