Wars keep the American way of life as we know it going. That way of life depends on consuming more than anyone else in the world, on wasting a staggering amount of resources, and on turning a blind eye to the suffering of others at home and abroad.

It is the America we were all raised in. It is what we know. It is what we are either afraid to try to change or despair of being able to change.

So in a way it isn't an attack on Americans because unless Americans are willing and able to throw off the philosophies and culture of the America we know and create a different America we will continue to depend on these wars to keep gas in our cars, electricity in our homes, and cheap goods on our store shelves.
