but the administration's attempts to sideline the NRA has failed. So what do you intend to do about it? Make a deal with the devil or make no deal at all?
And in light of your post, perhaps you can shed light on why criticism of gun control is frequently attacked as "NRA talking points". Are you suggesting that criticism of gun control may not be motivated by support for the NRA but rather by the concerns of gun owners? If so, perhaps it is time to put away the NRA broadbrush and talk to gun owners as potential collaborators?
