The "plan" is totally unworkable in practical and financial terms - its scale is dwarfed by the numbers involved and would cost billions if even part of it comes to fruition - and will prove to be as full of hollow promises as Brexit was.

Meanwhile, it will continue the othering of outgroups and dodge facing the root of the problem - the long-term wilful failure to devote sufficent resources to process asylum seekers in accordance with international law.

It will not benefit UK citizens one iota. Not even the racists.
