Yeah, celebrities have the same right to free speech as anyone, but I'm no more interested in their hot takes on politics than I am in those of the plumber who unclogged my toilet or the mechanic who fixed my car. A lot of celebrities seem to have this weird notion that their fame confers on them some kind of special wisdom that the rest of us mooks lack, when in truth it only confers on them a megaphone.

Why anyone cares what any celebrity has to say about politics is baffling to me.
