NH-GOV: Democratic candidate for governor Joyce Craig rolls out plan to expand abortion rights [View all]
CONCORD, N.H. — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Joyce Craig has rolled out a new reproductive rights plan that would greatly expand the role of government in abortion services.
Craig said she wants to make sweeping changes at the state level to expand access to abortion.
In the wake of the 2022 Dobbs Supreme Court decision, abortion remains a key issue at the state level for voters. Democrats at the State House have been working unsuccessfully to repeal New Hampshire's ban on abortions after 24 weeks.
In the Democratic primary for governor, Craig is putting forward her own plan to go much further if she wins the corner office.
