It was smart of the Republicans to try to get an attractive, young, seemingly empathetic woman to give the response. But, my goodness, is she overshooting the mark. Every sentence is a breathy, angsty sigh. She is trying so hard to project pain that it's just comical. I like Star Trek, but this reminds me of William Shatner wildly overdoing a part. If there was an acting coach in the audience they'd be standing on their chair practically yelling "Dial It BACK!!!"
