Fireworks are like guns [View all]

The people who fire them off don’t care if you or your pets or Veterans have severe reactions to their use. Gun owners don’t care if children or others are murdered by the same obscene weapons they own. It’s pathetic and disgusting.

Fireworks that are handled irresponsibly can cause serious injuries or deaths. Just like guns.

But here’s the thing. We’ll never be rid of them. Guns are ubiquitous and there are more guns than people in our country. It’s an impossible task to do away with them.

Fireworks are similar. One can buy them in any quantity nearly anywhere including Walmart (in some states). They are dangerous explosives! But those people don’t care about others. They lack empathy but are motivated by their egos and greed.

I’m sorry for anyone who has this lovely weekend spoiled by such selfish and dangerous obsessions.
