26. I will say this... There are a LOT of trolls here. Lots!

Maybe I won’t even call them trolls but rather gadflies. I have been on and organized lots of online communities dating back to old BBS boards back in the day.

There is a large contingent of folks that will try to prove that you are a republican, a trumper, or a russian bot. They will take something you say and twist it up and make it sound like something you didn’t say. They are either paranoid or have an agenda. I have my suspicions an done of them is that some are the socks of people that split from this site a number of years ago.

Anyway, I would also say that you need to be open to criticism to some degree too. And you need to be open to your ideas and thoughts being challenged as well. That is what discussion is about and if you notice this site is a group of forums. Forum. What does that word mean?

Still I agree that there are some here that could act a little more socially acceptable. There is a rudeness here at times and I have found myself get caught up in it. In fact that reminds me I need to apologize to a longtime poster here that I was sort of rude to yesterday.

Stick around, understand your writings will get challenged and you will be expected and asked to back them up and you may find yourself changing some thoughts based on you being challenged. That is a good thing. Especially for someone that likes to write.
